| Residency: Sir
Harold Hillier Arboretum, Romsey, Hampshire. |
In
2002, Jeanette was invited to be artist in residence at the
the Sir Harold Hillier Arboretum in their regular program
'Art in the Garden'.

She
carefully chose a copse of trees & cloaked their trunks
in felt....

during installation |
|
|
| After a year
of weathering, these 'tree-skins' were peeled off to reveal
shells, empty, as in death yet having taken on the shape
of the still living forms |
|
| |
 |
The
installation then moved to the Beatrice Royal Gallery,
Southampton for a further month. The empty shells give
the feeling that the trees have just slipped out of
them. The tree is gone but the soul seems to remain.
The visible & invisible. |

 |
There
was sound & light at the installation to set the mood
of a garden....
