Getting There
Jeanette, came to Newburgh as Artist in residence in 2007. She & her partner quickly felt it was a place they would be honoured to make their home.
The 1850 Church Hall on Clinton Street was a perfect solution to living and working in Newburgh & plans were passed by the local Council to convert the space into a roof flat & studios on 2 levels. The spacious first floor is to become Jeanette's private studio in which to develop her own large scale work. This is an inspirational space with 4 arched windows on one side & new window on 2 other sides
Already the ground floor is a superb generous space with a high ceiling & has been the scene of much artistic juice flowing particularly with Summer schools. The space will gradually be improved & developed to make it a truly unique & vibrant Textile Centre.
