‘Felting the Garden'

This one week summer school was inspired by the garden.

Each day the students looked at aspects of the gardening year taking in the colours and textures of the seasons; buds and blossoms, flowers and grasses, autumn leaves and winter frosts.

They played with and explored ideas based around garden containers such as flower pots, baskets, bird houses and fishponds.

This 1850 Newburgh Chapel provided an inspirational large space with a Wow factor. This was the third year a Summer-School has been held in the building before major renovation works in time for the 2011 summerschools.
